KAYANARA benefits from its exceptional location. The Guest Ranch is 220 acre in size and has space for quiet time while still offering plenty of room for all kinds of activities.
On the south side, Eagle Creek meanders through fields and bushes. On the north side, adjacent to the Eagle Creek, we have miles of wilderness with pristine lakes with lots of fish, forests, rivers and waterfalls teeming with wildlife. To the east is the beautiful, very sparsely populated Canim Lake, surrounded by the typical Canadian forest. It is 37 km long and inviting, with its many secluded bays with sandy beaches for sunbathing and swimming fun. Four miles west of KAYANARA, Roger Lake invites you to come out for secluded fishing pleasure. Roger Lake is completely untouched and can be reached by foot, on horseback or by quad bike. Actually there are a lot of stocked lakes in the area for good fishing.

Within a 15 minute drive, you will find our closest grocery store and within a half hour drive you will reach the town of 100 Mile House.

After three hours of a wonderful nature experience, we will pick you up and bring you back to KAYANARA.

KAYANARA itself and the surroundings of the Guest Ranch offer numerous opportunities for walking or hiking. Watch the wildlife in their natural setting. Do not be afraid of the animals, they are more afraid of you. Although you are quite safe on the road, we will instruct you in the behaviour of local wildlife.

Eagle Creek and even more, Canim Beach invites you to swim. During our Summer month, Canim Lake reaches 20 to 22 degrees Celsius. We are happy to provide you with water toys for your children. To get to the beach, it takes you about 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes by bike.

Two hours from KAYANARA is Sun Peaks Ski Resort. It offers a variety of slopes and runs for all levels and is known for its sunny weather. Everything from ski boots to clothing can be rented there.

Ice fishing

Combine fishing and snowmobiling and go out to a pristine lake, which promises peace and quietfulness. You sit in front of your hole in the ice, let the winter sun warm you up and drift off in your own thoughts. You can be sure that the fish you catch is incredibly fresh and delicious.

About winter on KAYANARA:

The road to KAYANARA is kept plowed at all times during the winter. So you always have access in and out.
The Canadian winter has its own special charm. The snow and the air is very dry. In the Carriboo once it snows, it will remain until spring. The trees are transformed into ice sculptures, the air is crystal clear and the silence is amazing. We love the Canadian winter.

Ask for special offers over the Christmas period. Celebrating Christmas in a Canadian log cabin in a classic winter environment promises pure romance. We are convinced that Santa Claus lives in our forests.
